Training for Democratic Volunteer Greeters at Early Voting Sites

This is mandatory training for volunteers at early voting sites to represent the Democratic Party to St. Lucie County (SLC) voters. The training will provide you with the information you need to best support our Democratic candidates. The goal is to meet & greet as many voters as possible, share candidate information, answer questions, and encourage a Democratic vote. A second training is offered October 18th here; you only need to attend one training.

We are scheduling volunteers at 7 early voting locations:

Indian River State College; Mid-Florida Event Center and Port Saint Lucie Community Center -At which there will be a tent, chairs, signage, and candidate/amendment literature, including Slate cards. The Slate card indicates all the Democratic candidates that voters will see on their ballots along with the six amendments.

Renaissance Business Park; Robert E. Minsky Gym; Zora Neale Hurston Library and Paula A. Lewis Library – No tents, but there will be large Democratic golf umbrellas for the volunteers. At these sites we are asking pairs of volunteers with an umbrella in hand meet & greet voters in the parking lots (outside the 150-foot entrance perimeter) and hand out Slate cards. You may bring your own chair or sit in your car for quiet times between voters. There will be no tent or chairs at these locations.
