Our mission is to identify candidates that represent the values of the Democratic Party and get them elected to office to represent all the citizens of St. Lucie County. We believe in the promise of the American Dream, that everyone should have the opportunity to fulfill their potential and provide for their families. It is our position that government should never interfere in an individual’s ability to achieve success, but instead create the environment that makes success possible. We embrace and celebrate the diversity of our nation and our community. Everything that makes our country great lives in the heart of every person. Who We Are
The Democratic Executive Committee of St. Lucie County (also known as the DEC or St. Lucie County Democratic Party) is a statutory arm of the Florida Democratic Party. We are the entity responsible for discharging Florida Democratic Party affairs within St. Lucie County. Our duties include engaging voters through direct voter contact, expanding our base by registering new Democrats, working to get Democrats elected to public office, and promoting Democratic principles of fairness, inclusion, and opportunity within our community.
We believe that the strength of our community is dependent upon open and accessible government, the participation of all voters, and fair treatment of its citizens.
The DEC relies upon the active involvement of all its members and the members and volunteers of our partner clubs and caucuses. Each person's time, energy and ideas are a valuable and essential part of the success of our Democratic Party.
